Andrew Wylie
Sixth place finish with Ultimate NE Series at Roaring Knob
After the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic put the season on hold to begin the year, Andrew Wylie kicked off his 2020 season on Friday night at Thunder Mountain Speedway (Knox Dale, Pa.) piloting his ACA Engineering No. 84 Late Model for the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series-sanctioned program. Following the sixth fastest lap in his time trial group, Wylie notched a second place finish in his heat behind Doug Eck, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the main event. With $3,000 on the line, Andrew suffered a broken upper control arm while running in fourth that sidelined him for the remainder of the feature.
The following night at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (Markleysburg, Pa.) in a field of 12 Ultimate Northeast Series entries, Wylie came one spot shy of a Top-5 finish in the feature with a sixth place outing.
